A dad pretended to pee his pants so his 6-year-old daughter wouldn’t feel embarrassed after having an accident at school.

Ben Sowards and his wife are raising eleven children in Cedar City, Utah.

“We just last night officially finalized the adoption of our four children we had place with us through foster care,” Sowards told KSL.

Last week, Ben got a call from his wife saying that their 6-year-old, Valerie had an accident at school and was in the office hoping to get picked up.

“She was heartbroken,” said Sowards. “And my heart just kind of melted.”

He wanted to let Valerie know that there was nothing to be embarrassed about.

“I told my wife on a whim ‘I’m going to splash some water on my pants and go pick her up. I know that’ll make her laugh,’” said Sowards.

His oldest daughter snapped a picture of Sowards’ outfit and posted it to Twitter, where it received more than 63,000 retweets.

People on Twitter praised him for his parenting skills.

“What a lucky gal to have such a magnificent dad. Blessings to you and your wonderful family,” wrote one Twitter user.

“This is what parenting really looks like” wrote another.
