A “Secret Santa” is getting a lot of praise after picking up a $10,000 bill to pay for more than 62 layaway orders for total strangers.

According to WNBC, a good Samaritan who identified himself only as Charlie K. visited a Toys R Us store Friday to shop for his son. While there, he decided to pay for 62 layaway gifts, totaling more than $10,000.

“I’m trying to bring some happiness to people, to the community that brought happiness to me and my family,” Charlie K. told WPHT. “I love this community and I am trying to provide back to it.”

The total cost of the orders came to $10,780. But Charlie K. didn’t stop there.

He asked everyone in the store to pick three items for him to buy for Toys for Tots. The cost came to about $2,000.

“The Marines and Toys for Tots are one of the best organizations, and I don’t want to forget them,” he said.

Stephanie Dawson came to the store and found of the $200 worth of toys she picked out for her grandkids’ Christmas gifts were already paid for.

“I want to say thank you very much and I appreciate it and thank god for you,” she said.

Another recipients said she was grateful to the stranger for his kindness.

“It’s definitely an early Christmas and I want to say thank you to the gentleman that came in and donated. It’s like the best feeling. Thank you,” said Jessica Jey.
