A man who donated his generator to a family who desperately needed is getting rewarded for his kindness.

Ramon Santiago was picking up a generator ahead of Hurricane Irma at a Lowe’s in central Florida on Thursday when he spotted a stranger in tears. He learned the store had just sold its last generator, and the woman, Pam Brekke, desperately needed one to care for her sick father.

“My father’s on oxygen, and I’m worried about this storm,” Brekke told WFTV.

That’s when Santiago approached her and gave her his generator. The woman was beyond grateful. She thanked Santiago for his kindness and continued shopping.

The next day, Lowe’s repaid Santiago for his kindness. The store manager invited Santiago to return to the store to pick up his own generator for free.
