A hospital is honoring a dedicated volunteer who has been helping out for more than 70 years.
Juanita Taylor is 95 years old and has been volunteering at the Sentara RMH in Rockingham County, Va., since 1947, when she was 25.
Last month, the hospital threw a party in Taylor’s honor for her decades of hard work at the hospital, WHSV reports.
She encourages everyone to get involved in their communities.
“I learned more about how to be patient and accept things as they are happening and try to work with them rather than work against them,” Taylor said.
In addition to working in the hospital’s gift shop, Taylor also volunteers at the Salvation Army and the Historical Society.
