Andrew Myrant was on break and noticed the coworker signaling he had a piece of food caught in his throat. Video shows Myrant performing the Heimlich maneuver on his choking coworker to force the food out. He then sits down to finish his meal.

“I mean, it makes me feel pretty awkward because I don’t feel like it, but they say ‘hero’ a lot, and one of my managers bought me a sandwich for the other day, so that was nice,” Myrant told ABC News.

The coworker was able to return to work after the incident. Myrant told Colorado media that he learned the Heimlich maneuver in high school.
