Zully Fernandez was one of three peopleĀ honored by police Saturday after she pulled her unconscious cousin out of a pool in Apex, North Carolina, helping save his life.

Zully was at the pool when she noticed that her cousin, Noe Molina, was at the bottom of the pool and wasn’t coming up for air. She went to grab him and, with the help of Carlos Rodriquez, pulled him from the pool.

Noe wasn’t breathing or alert, so Melissa Rodriguez started CPR and revived him before EMS and police arrived. Noe was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

After finding out about the heroic actions of Zully, Melissa and Carlos Rodriquez, officers from the Apex Police Department presented the three with Chief’s Coins.
