A little boy is warming a lot of hearts after thanking one of his police officers in a special way.

According to a post by the Lakeland, Florida Police Department, 8-year-old Noah was eating at a Denny’s restaurant with his mom when he spotted a police officer eating breakfast.

He asked his mom if he could pay for the officer’s meal, and wrote a touching not on the officer’s receipt.

“I want to be young when I grow up,” wrote Noah. “Thank you for your service.”

The officer, identified as Officer Benitez, was so touched by the act of kindness that he asked to take a photo with Noah.

“Well Noah you touched all of our hearts today. Your support means so much to all of the men and women who put on the uniform everyday,” the police department wrote in a Facebook post.
