CHICAGO – After spending 140 days in the neonatal intensive care unit, a baby girl is finally going home.

Baby Eirianna weighed just 13 ounces when she was born. She’s the smallest patient to survive at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago, WLS-TV reports.

Mom Enitan Martins’ original due date was in January, but she knew her pre-eclampsia would force an early delivery.

“I’m just grateful,” said Martins. “It’s been a long haul.”
