WILMINGTON, Del. – Police officers could barely hold back their emotion while helping a terminally sick boy fulfill his dying wish.

Angel Zamora of Delaware is just 5-years-old and has an inoperable brain tumor. Thanks to the Make-A-Wish foundation, he was sworn in as a captain of the New Castle County Police Department, WTFX reports.

Angel spent the day with police officers, who said they felt honored to be helping Angel fulfill his dream. Though Angel couldn’t show his happiness, his mom said it means a lot to her to see his dream come true.

“It’s a blessing. It means a lot. I haven’t felt this happy in a while,” said mom Sandra Gutierrez.
