An Alabama boy’s 10th birthday celebration included a trip to his twin brother’s grave, where he and his mom sang “Happy Birthday.”

Walter Myrick and his mother, Brooke Myrick visited the cemetery where Willis was laid to rest a decade ago. Willis died in the womb from twin to twin transfusion syndrome.

Last month, a picture taken in 2012 gained international attention. In the photo, Walter visited Willis’ grave to tell him about his first day of kindergarten.

Myrick said the family honors Willis’ memory every year with a charity walk, held around the twins’ March 6 birthday, to raise awareness of TTTS. This year’s walk will be held on March 5, according to a Facebook page dedicated to the event.
