CHESTER, SC – La’Darious Wylie’s last act will be forever remembered as being brave and selfless.

The fifth grader pushed his little sister, Shavonte, out of the way of an oncoming car as they were waiting for the school bus in Chester, South Carolina. The car had veered toward the group of kids.

“In other words, he saved his sister,” his aunt, Felicia Mobley told WBTV. “And he ended up being the one that’s where he is now.”

La’Darious passed away one day later at the hospital. He will be laid to rest on Thursday.

His family hopes that a nearby playground will be rebuild and named after La’Darious.
