A news crew captured the moment first-responders rescued a kidnapped toddler from a rollover crash.

According to WXYZ, 2-year-old Sondra Renee was kidnapped early Tuesday morning in Detroit, which triggered an AMBER Alert.

Police say officers tried to pull over the suspect, 42-year-old Grady Barrett, on I-75, but instead he led officers on an hour-long chase across multiple counties.

The driver eventually crashed the car with the toddler inside. Police were able to pull Sondra from the car. She was taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution.

Police arrested Barrett and another woman after the crash. Barrett’s sister, Tina Parker, said the situation was based on a misunderstanding. She claims that the woman in the car with Barrett was Renee’s mother, but no other information is currently available.
