Exhausted? Haven’t showered in a few days? Need a vacation?

If this describes how you feel while tending to your child’s every need, you’ll enjoy this tribute from the Sydney Philharmonia Choirs.

This video was made in 2013 after the Sydney Symphony posted a contest on their Facebook page, challenging fans to rewrite the opening chorus of Carmina Burana.

The winning version was written by a Australian father of three, Matthew Hodge. He said he was inspired by his youngest son, who at just a year old at the time, started walking, climbing and generally causing mayhem.

The Ode to Sleep Deprived Parents and Terrorising Toddlers, includes such lyrics as: ‘Put my phone down/Where are your pants?’, ‘Why won’t you sleep?/Is it your teeth?’ – all of which will be instantly recognizable to the harassed parents of those entering and very busy toddlers.
