An Ontario man’s small act of kindness is making a huge impact on social media.

21-year-old student Godfrey Cuotto was photographed holding hands with Robert, a middle-aged man who has cerebral palsy and is deaf.

The McMaster University student says Robert approached him on the packed bus to shake his hand and he never pulled it away.

“I was like, ‘Yo, what’s going on? Am I getting pranked or something?’ I wasn’t. I looked at him [and realized] he’s special-needs,” Coutto told Global News.

Cuotto says the man held his hand, leaned on him, hugged him and also kissed his hands throughout the 30-minute ride home, according to the Huffington Post.

Coutto said that he felt uncomfortable at first, but got over it.

“Sometimes you just have to be selfless and put someone else’s needs above yours,” Coutto told the Huffington Post.

Someone else on the bus took noticed and took a photo and posted it on the Facebook group Only In Hamilton.

The person wrote, “I didn’t know if u can post this but I would liking to say thank you to the guy who was seating beside a special needs gentleman… He allowed him to hold his hand and find comfort well in a packed bus.. It make my day when I see stuff like that.”

The photo has almost 50,000 likes and has been shared more than 11,500 times.
