Flood victims in Texas are thanking their local Pizza Hut for delivering hot pizzas via kayak to people trapped inside their homes.
Shayda Wilson, manager of a Pizza Hut in Sugar Land, Texas, told KDFW she gathered the restaurant’s crew when she heard people were trapped in their homes because of flooding, and many were running out of food.
Together, they packed up more than 120 pizzas and loaded them into kayaks to deliver to flooded homes.
“They were so happy to see us coming down their street,” Wilson told KDFW. “You never let your family go hungry.”
