FERGUS, Ontario- A little boy in Ontario, Canada couldn’t believe who he saw ordering coffee inside a Tim Horton’s.

Mark Hurson posted about the encounter on his Facebook page where it quickly went viral, getting over 18,000 shares.

Hurson wrote that the little boy, around 4 or 5 years old, stared at Santa in awe, and the white-haired man played along.

“The older gent looked down and smiled and asked him if he sent his letter into him yet,” wrote Hurson. “The boy said no and he would be doing it tonight.”

The bearded man advised the boy has to make sure he makes it on the ‘nice’ list.

“He said, ‘You better be nice to your mom and sister, because I’m watching,'” wrote Hurson. “Then he said goodbye and was going back to the North Pole to finish the toys with the elves.”

City News spoke with the man about the encounter. The man even had pens made to give to children who think of him as Santa Claus.

“So that they can write me a letter and tell me what they want for Christmas,” said the man.

He says he’s just glad that people around the world are embracing what Santa is all about.

“What Santa is trying to put is to give,” said the man. “Let’s give, and not take.”
