A Cubs fan is finally enjoying the celebratory drink he set aside 32 years ago after watching his team win the World Series.

“My grandpa put this beer in his fridge 32 years ago and said he would open it when the Cubs won the World Series. Today was that day,” Tom Johnson’s granddaughter, Grace Johnson, tweeted.

The tweet has since gone viral, getting more than 108,000 likes.

“He and my family are all die-hard, lifetime fans,” Grace told ABC News.

As Tom popped open the can, his family members commented on the bad smell. He poured out the beer from the vintage Coors can into a Cubs cup as his family members watched on.
