Fans are calling Ariana Grande’s mother a hero after she ushered concert-goers to safety following a deadly explosion at a venue in Manchester, England.

According to TMZ, Joan Grande was heading backstage from her front-row seat to see her daughter when she heard the explosion.

As chaos erupted, Joan helped escort a group of kids that were seated around her to the backstage area. Ariana’s security stayed with the fans backstage until they were able to safely leave the venue.

TMZ reports Grande has suspended her tour following the attack.
