A 4-year-old boy with autism is recovering after nearly drowning in a pond. A Kansas police officer pulled him out of the water just in time.

Officer Aaron Bulmer’s body camera captured the entire rescue. He was patrolling the Central Park Community Center in Topeka when he saw the boy fall into a pond.

He immediately jumped in after the boy and got him out of the water. The boy started coughing and gasping as the officer pulled him from the water.

Bulmer can be heard in the video asking someone to call 911. A passerby ran over to help the officer get the boy to safety.

The boy’s parent was looking for him when he fell into the pond, according to ABC News. The boy was taken to a hospital for a medical evaluation.
