A custodian has won the hearts of kids and staff an elementary school after setting up an impressive Christmas display.

Heath Wilson has been a custodian at Newark Elementary school in Arkansas for years, KARK reports. He’s deaf and works hard to keep the school well maintained.

Every year, Wilson goes above and beyond to transform the school into a magical place for the kids.

“I always have offered to help and he says, ‘No, I want to do it,'” said school principal Kathy Magness.

The kids love seeing their school’s transformation every year.

“Santa, a snowman, a penguin and an elf,” Slayton, a 1st-grader, said.

Wilson said he’s glad he’s able to do something to bring a smile to students’ faces.

“Some of the kids are poor and they don’t have a Christmas. They come and look so happy,” said Wilson.
