A hospice care center went above and beyond to fulfill a dying woman’s wish to see her pet horse one last time.
Medical staff in Germany worked with workers from a horseback riding school to bring Dana, an Iceland mare, to the Klinikum Fürth clinic, Inside Edition reports. Hospital officials did not release the 58-year-old patient’s name or show her face in order to protect her identity.
Hospital staff wheeled her bed outside for the encounter. Photos posted to the clinic’s Facebook page show the woman raising her hand to greet her horse.
The clinic was happy to help fulfill the woman’s last wish.
“Many thanks to all interested parties for this unforgettable action,” the clinic wrote on Facebook.
