METAIRIE, La. – When the power suddenly went out in Target store in Louisiana, a group of employees knew exactly what to do.

“We thought it’d come back up,” said Dione Branch, who works at Target. “We though we’d be back in business in no time, but then it didn’t come back up.”

Employees started brainstorming, trying to figure out what to do with all the excess food. One employee immediately suggested donating the food to Second Harvest Food Bank.

In total, Target donated 8,000 pounds of food, according to WWL. Employees helped to fill boxes and walked them out the door.
