CERES, Calif. – A teenage girl isn’t letting anything stop her from taking an honest shot at her dreams.
Mariah Mercer has spina bifida, which caused nerve damage, confining her to a bright pink wheelchair, KTRK reports.
Though Mercer is disabled, she’s not letting anything stop her from living her life. She made the varsity cheer leading team his year and has been playing powder puff football.
“I love just being out there and people seeing that I’m actually doing it,” said Mercer.
Her parents couldn’t be more proud.
“It’s very inspiring that she doesn’t let anything hold her back,”her mom told KTRK.
