A couple celebrating their 80th wedding anniversary say they’ve been inseparable since their 1937 nuptials.
Bill and Dell Johnson were introduced by Bill’s cousin in Halifax, Nova Scotia, in 1936.
“He was handsome,” Dell told CTV.
Dell, 97, and Bill, 101, are still in love all these decades later.
“She was a beautiful woman in those days, and she still is,” said Bill.
Bill worked at a dockyard while Dell took care of their three children. Their children said their parents were always great role models for them. Even now, their parents still dote on each other.
“They go to the dining room, my dad still pulls the chair out for my mom to sit down. Everyone here, the staff, are amazed at the way he treats her,” said daughter Carol Faith Amirault.
