SACRAMENTO, Calif. – A 10-year-old girl has an innovative idea to spread kindness during a turbulent time.
Leah Nelson started “Becuz I Care,” a program that encourages a chain-reaction of good deeds, according to KTXL.
She has been standing in front of a supermarket, giving out handmade bracelets to strangers.
She asks each of person to do a nice deed for another stranger, whether it’s a simple compliment or buying someone else a coffee.
Leah asks that after performing your good deed, you pass your bracelet along to that stranger, and ask them to do the same for someone else.
Some adults are blown away by Leah’s kindness, but she says she’s just doing what everyone should be doing.
“I just want the world to be a better place. I mean there’s many issues and people are mad about the issues. And if you’re mad about the issues, why don’t you take action and try to change them?” said Leah.
