SACRAMENTO, Calif. – A 12-year-old boy who lost his leg to cancer adopted a three-legged dog.

Quinn Scharn has beat cancer twice in his short life. His second battle with cancer caused him to lose his leg.

He said two years ago, as he was going into surgery to amputate his leg, he had just on wish.

“I wanted a three legged dog,” Scharn told KXTV.

A few days ago, Scharn finally got his wish when his mom, Teresa Howell, spotted a Facebook post about Logan, a three legged dog in need of  a family.

Within a few days, they filled out the paperwork and brought Logan home.

His mom said it was the least she could do, knowing what her son has gone through.

“The kids things go through in treatment it’s very hard to watch especially if it’s your child,” Howell said through tears. “He’s pretty inspiring.”
