A baby’s emotional reaction to hearing her mom’s voice for the first time is making thousands of people across the country smile.

Baby girl Charlotte Ruth Keane was born in August in Virginia Beach. She was born with bilateral profound congenital hearing loss and wasn’t able to hear her mother’s voice since she was born.

According to Southside Daily newspaper, the family finally got hearing aids for Charlotte on October 12 thanks to the Virginia Hearing Aid Loan Bank.

A video shared by mom Christy Keane shows Charlotte welling up with emotion when she hears her mom say “I love you” for the first time.

“We had our miracle moment that I have been praying for when Char got her hearing aids today,” wrote Keane on and Instagram page. “We didn’t think she would hear anything so this was more incredible than I can put in to words. Her journey to implants and language development is off to an amazing start!”

Since that day, videos show Charlotte waking up every morning to the sound of her mom’s voice.

“We get to witness a miracle every morning!” wrote Keane.
