A 4-year-old boy has been reunited with his favorite teddy bear thanks to an airport worker.
Luke Swofford lost his toy, appropriately named Teddy Bear, while travelling home from Colorado with his grandparents, ABC News reports.
The family didn’t realize Teddy Bear was missing until after they left the airport. They immediately drove back to the airport to search for him with no luck. Luke was heartbroken.
The family filed a report with the lost and found and posted about the lost bear on Facebook and Twitter.
Soon, the airport announced an employee had been keeping Teddy Bear safe the whole time.
While waiting on Luke to pick him up, Teddy Bear had a few adventures in the airport, including visiting some pilots in the cockpit of a plane.
“#TeddyBear, we hope you had a fantastic time at #DallasLoveField! We’ll miss you but we’re so excited that you have been reunited with Luke,” Dallas Love Field airport wrote on Facebook, along with photos of Teddy Bear’s adventures.
Six days later, Teddy Bear finally made it back into Luke’s arms.
“He jumped up and down like a crazy man,” mom Nikki Swofford said. “We’re going to stitch our phone numbers on the back so we can’t lose him again.”
