MARSEILLES, France – The parents of a one-year-old girl in France say they’re hopeful their daughter will recover after a virus attacked her nervous system.
Little Marwa from Marseilles, France was taken to the hospital in September as she battled an aggressive virus.
According to The Sun, doctors put her into a coma, but after months of breathing assistance, they decided there was nothing more they could do. They suggested taking her off life support.
The family launched a social media campaign to continue treatment. Ten days later, Marwa shocked doctors by waking on her own and smiling.
Her dad posted a video of his daughter’s smile to social media.
Marwa has a twin sister. Her parents remain hopeful that she will recover.
