TAMPA, Fla. – Two teenagers are facing charges after police say they killed a man in front of his son in a Craigslist transaction gone bad.

Detectives say father James Black, 44, arranged to meet two teenagers in Tampa, Florida to sell his son’s dirt bike, which he had outgrown.

“I got it as a Christmas present and I worshiped it, because it came from my dad,” 15-year-old Stuart Beck told WFLA. “He taught me how to ride. It started as his hobby and moved on to mine.”

James Beck posted an ad on Craigslist to sell his son’s old bike.

Police say on Tuesday evening, they met 16-year-old Ramontrae Williams and 17-year-old Dontae Johnson in a Tampa neighborhood. They allegedly stole the bike and shot Stuart’s father in the head right in front of him.

Through tears, Stuart remembered his dad.

“He was a wonderful man,” Stuart said. “He had a great sense of humor, always knew how to make someone laugh.”

Both teens are facing murder and armed robbery charges.
