The Salvation Army in Boston says a woman honoring her late husband dropped her wedding rings in the little red kettle. The anonymous donor left a note, saying her husband loved to give back to those in need.

In Florida, another donor dropped a pair of Mexican gold coins in two different kettles. They are valued at $1,400 each.

The Salvation Army says these donations will help give hundreds of families a much merrier Christmas.
