CARTERSVILLE, Ga. – Sometimes the little things matter.

A Cartersville police officer went above and beyond his duty to rescue a small kitten stuck in a well on Saturday.

Officer Jesse Ours jumped inside the well and rescued the frightened cat.
One of the people at the scene snapped a photo of the rescue and said “He went into a wet and dirty sewer and rescued the kitten. Props to Cartersville Police Department! It makes me proud to live in this city and I’m glad my 4 year old saw this officer do this. I hope this email finds you and your team well. We appreciate your team!”
