PARMA, Ohio – A police department says it doesn’t just care for human life; it cares for animals’ lives too.

The city of Parma, Ohio says a dove decided to nest at the base of a windshield on a police cruiser, so they went above and beyond to make sure the bird isn’t disturbed.

Photos posted to the City of Parma Facebook page shows the police cruiser wrapped in police tape and yellow traffic cones, all to make sure no one disturbs the bird.

Officers even attached an umbrella to the car to keep the bird safe and dry.

The department told WJW that the cruiser is a spare, and isn’t actively in use by officers.
