NORTH AUGUSTA, SC. — The North Augusta Public Safety has come up with a creative way to connect with their community: Pass out trading cards with their faces on it.
Seventy two cards, 72 faces of the force shown in a different light.
WRDW-TV reports Lt. Tim Thornton says the idea was to “give kids a chance to see law enforcement in a way that’s maybe outside of official police action.”
Mother Monica Stroman told WRDW-TV that she likes the idea.
“I’m actually really glad they came out here because they don’t usually see cops and when they see them it’s usually a bad thing,” said Monica Stroman. “It’s pretty awesome that they came out here to share their love and support for the kid.”
