KTLA meteorologist Liberte Chan was delivering the 8am weather report on Sunday in a black, spaghetti strap dress when suddenly she was handed a large cardigan (that obviously wasn’t hers) live on air.

Visibly confused, she asked what was going on. The anchor handing her the cardigan said, “We’ve been getting a lot of emails.”

Chan put on the sweater saying, “I look like a librarian.” She went on to say the other dress she brought to work didn’t work so this one was her backup.

People on Twitter immediately went crazy criticizing KTLA and the anchor, Chris Burrous, for publicly shaming Chan dubbing the situation #sweatergate.

Burrous later apologized and brought Chan on air to “make peace” telling viewers that “we kid each other all the time.”

What do you think about how the “dress” situation was handled?
