SAN ANTONIO, Tex. – A Texas man has made it his mission to help the less fortunate cool off this summer with swimming pools.

Todd Arredondo saw a picture on Facebook of a group of kids splashing and playing in the bed of a pickup truck, turned into a makeshift pool. Some people on social media started posting negative comments about the photo, making Arredondo upset, Inside Edition reports.

The kind-hearted man tracked the family down and hand-delivered an inflatable pool to their home, so they had a proper place to cool down in the Texas heat.

“It was truly rewarding to see their smiles,” said Arredondo.

According to Inside Edition, their heartwarming graciousness inspired him to deliver pools to even more families in his area. He started a GoFundMe page, raising money for his non-profit “Pools for Kids.”

So far, he has bought more than 50 pools and delivered them to more than 24 families.

He hopes the gesture helps other children learn about generosity and the joy of giving.
