Jordan Peele’s new horror film “Get Out” is as scary as it is critical of the mindset of so-called liberal Americans.

Peele, known for his comedy sketch duo Key & Peele, is no stranger to satirizing current events. He makes his directorial debut with “Get Out,” which takes examines interracial interactions in suburban America.

The movie follows an African American man who visits his white girlfriend’s parents for the first time. He becomes uncomfortable with how the seemingly open-minded people in her hometown react to him. He’s relieved to meet other black people in the town, but can’t figure out what about them seems just a little off.

“Get Out” opens everywhere February 24.
