A pair of high school sweethearts tied the knot in the intensive care unit of The Children’s Hospital at Saint Francis in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Swift Meyers and Abbi two met in the same hospital years before. According to the Huffington Post, they were both visiting a friend who was battling leukemia at the time.

Swift woke up from a 10-day induced coma and knew he needed to ask Abbi to marry him.

Swift has been battling Ewing sarcoma for about seven years.

Friends and family showed up for the small ceremony inside a hospital room. Some waited outside the window, so they wouldn’t disrupt other patients.

Abbi will attend the University of Tulsa in the fall to study nursing. Swift hopes to be a radiologist in the future.

Congrats to the happy couple!
