ALVIN, Tx. – When a group of students found out their teacher was in hospice care, they wanted to let her know how much they were going to miss her.

About 40 students from Alvin Junior High School in Texas showed up outside Mrs. Mariana Walker’s room to sing to her. Walker was a choir teacher at their school for 17 years.

Once the students were done singing, they said  a prayer for Walker and said goodbye.

Just a few minutes later, Walker died, KTRK reports.

Walker is survived by her husband and her daughter. He was 69 when she died.
