When a 6-year-old boy threw out the first pitch at a baseball game, he got an unexpected and very welcomed surprise.
Brody’s mom, U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Georgina Walton, has been deployed in Asia for seven months.
After Brody threw out the first pitch at a baseball game in Charleston, South Carolina, an announcer asked him a few questions on the microphone.
“Your mom has been away, is that right?” the announcer asked Brody.
“Yes,” he responded.
“Do you miss her?” the announcer asked.
Brody nodded in response.
“Who’s that over there?” the announcer asked.
Brody immediately spotted his mom waiting for him by the stands. He ran up to her and gave her a big hug and didn’t let go for a very long time.
