CAMDEN, Ark. – A young mother’s life was cut short as thousands of her friends and loved ones watched on Facebook Live.

Family members say 26-year-old Keiana Herndon was a loving mother and friend. Family members said the 26-year-old woman was streaming live on Facebook Dec. 28 when she suddenly started struggling to breathe.

“Never knew that was going to be the last breath she would take, on social media live,” Herndon’s aunt, Barbara Johnson, told KATV.

Family members say Herndon was holding her 1-year-old son, Riley, telling her Facebook followers she planned on going back to school. Then suddenly, she dropped the phone.

“She fell back and then Riley picked the phone up and started talking and playing,” said Hohnson. “Then I hear (gasping).”

A friend found her on the floor of her home about 30 minutes later, family member say. She was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Family members say Herndon had problems with her thyroid which affected her heart.

Loved ones set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for the family. If you would like to donate, click here.
