Former President George W. Bush is honoring 98 wounded veterans by painting portraits of them.
Bush shared a photo of his work to Instagram explaining his project.
“Over the past several months, I’ve painted the portrait of 98 wounded warriors I’ve gotten to know – remarkable men and women who were injured carrying out my orders,” Bush wrote in the photo’s caption.
The portraits will be featured in a book and special exhibit, Portraits of Courage, next spring. All proveeds will go to the Bush Center and the Military Service Initiative to honor and support veterans.
